ASAP Rocky Released From Jail, Pending Verdict for Assault Case


After spending the past few weeks in a Sweden prison after allegedly getting involved in a street brawl, ASAP Rocky has now been released, awaiting a final verdict on his assault case.

ASAP Rocky and two other defendants, Bladi and Thoto, are said to be free and can return back to to the United States of America while awaiting a verdict which is expected to take place on  14 August. Reports state that two witnesses pleaded with the prosecution that they did not see ASAP Rocky use any weapon at the time of the incident, although, Swedish prosecutors want to see Rocky behind bars for six months for the alleged assault for which Rocky pleaded not guilty.

Following his release from prison, ASAP Rocky sent out a heartfelt message to fans, thanking everyone for standing by his side for the past few weeks while dealing with the situation in Sweden. Rocky’s release was also celebrated by many of his close friends – ASAP Ferg, Drake, Tyler, The Creator and more.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of my fans, friends and anyone across the globe who supported me during these last few weeks,” Rocky posted on his Instagram, “I can’t begin to describe how grateful I am for all of you. This has been a very difficult and humbling experience. I want to thank the court for allowing me, Bladi and Thoto to return to our family and friends. Thanks again for all of the love and support.”
