South African award winning rapper, Nasty C, has officially signed a joint venture with Def Jam Records through Universal Music Africa.
Nasty C, who made his U.S debut on 26 March when his single There They Go premiered on Apple Music Beats 1 with Ebro Darden, has been described by the CEO/Chairman of Def Jam Records as a unique and forward thinking artist who is leading the new generation of rappers emerging from Africa.
The visuals for There They Go were directed by Andrew Sandler who has also worked with the likes of Lil Wayne and Chris Brown.
“It’s powerful to be a part of the Def Jam family; it’s an iconic record label and has made the careers of many of the artists I look up to.” said Nasty C
Def Jam, being a globally recognized label is known for signing top talent hip hop artists and has, over the years, been home to artists such as Nas, Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Jhene Aiko and more.
Nasty C is expected to release his upcoming album “A Zulu Man With Some Power” in May of which Ebro said would be produced by respected producer NO I.D. During a live interview with MTV Base, Nasty C confirmed that Zulu Man With Some Power would include features from T.I, Burna Boy, Rowlene and Tellaman.
